From the bench
to the wall.

Each one began as a conversation. Slide to see it before the gold, and as it left the studio.

Birkat HaBayit

The blue sheet painted first, the Temple still in pencil. Then the walls, the gold, and the blessing of the house.

הדלקת נרות שבת

Hadlakat Nerot

First a sketch in coloured pencil: the drapes, the woman at the candles, where the text will sit. Then the blessing and its prayer written in, and the drapes painted, touched with gold.

03 · How it works

Five moments, from your story to your wall.

We do not sell a commission in one click. We listen first, and only then do we propose.

01

The conversation

You tell us what you want and why — in writing, by voice message, with the images that inspire you. We read every request ourselves, and we come back within two working days.

02

The sketch

Riki proposes a direction: composition, palette, where the gold falls, which text and in which hand. Nothing is produced yet.

03

The validation

You approve point by point — the words, the names, the spelling, the dimensions. On parchment nothing can be undone, so nothing starts before you have said yes to each detail.

04

The making

Drawing, watercolour, cutting, then the gold. This is the long part, and it is the part we never rush.

05

The handover

Mounted, packed and shipped, with the story of the piece written down. Israel, the United States, Europe.

04 · Your story

Four short screens. The second is where you tell us the story, in words or by voice. No price here: every request receives a written proposal after we have spoken.

This is the part we read first. Record it if that is easier — most people say more out loud than they write.

Up to 60 seconds. Say it the way you would say it out loud.
This one matters. Write a few lines — or record them above. Either one is enough.
Images that inspire you

    05 · Questions

    Before you write to us.

    What exactly is klaf?

Klaf is parchment prepared from the hide of a kosher animal, the material used for sacred writing. It is not paper. It has grain, pores and an irregular edge, it absorbs colour differently across its surface, and it cannot be corrected once painted.

Is the text printed or handwritten?

By default it is printed on the piece, and we say so. Writing by a sofer STaM — a qualified scribe — is a premium option, quoted separately and agreed before we start.

Can I see the piece before it ships?

Yes. You approve the sketch before anything is made, and you receive photographs of the finished work before it is packed.

How long does a commission take?

It depends on size, gold and whether a sofer is involved. You receive a firm date with the written proposal, before you commit.

    Do you ship outside Israel?

Yes — the United States, Europe and elsewhere. Shipping is tracked and insured, and the cost appears in the proposal.

Why is there no price on this page?

Because no two commissions are comparable. Size, gold, the text and your date all change the work, and a figure without a conversation would be wrong. Every request receives a written proposal, before you commit to anything.
